I don't know what shall be say, but is she a victim? Or she was boasting about her success? Rumour does spread like wildfire... It is so ... (still thinking which word to use)
But getting bad result doesn't mean you are bad, bad in everything. Good in exam only proves that you are good in memorizing all the facts. It doesn't show that you are good at other aspect. We shall move forwards, not standing still, whining about current loss.

She was either a victim, or a show-off. I sincerely hope that it's the former case (not meaning that I want her to be a victim, I just can't bear to see show-off)
